The Inside World album is dedicated to Jeannette Thompson 1918-2005

From J. Thompson, Spring/Summer News update

Hello friends and fans, 2007 is rolling forward and I hope you are all staying busy and living and loving large. We’ve been very busy at AMH Records since last fall with the 2006 summer release of the Inside World CD. We started a new live show based on the tracks from Inside world and the hit’s from Romantic Night like Tell me the Truth. The original tunes and exciting sets have been a smash at special events and live appearances. I want to thank the 60+ markets, the stations and syndications that played the 2 hit singles “Marche Marche” and “Tale of Tiernan” from Inside World. The response to the release has been fantastic and I thank the fine players Peter Horvath, Oscar Seaton, Luis Conte, Norton Buffalo, Tim Gorman and great friend John Blakeley who contributed on the record. New changes are good…

I’ve moved to the Napa Valley in the fall of 2006, it’s beautiful here. This area supports arts and music, great food and great wine! I’m planning another poignant release this summer and again # 1 son Mike will be producing. Most of the material is Mike’s compositions with my co writing adding the guitar work that I do best. This CD will consist of contemporary “Trip Hop, House and NY lounge with street funk beats” this is such a natural collaboration with such fine talent in this new family tradition. There will be a press release and formal announcement when the work is ready….stay tuned!

You are encouraged to use the email address on the site (use Info) for your messages and comments… Keep them coming! If you would like to know where I’m performing next, email us and we’ll let you know. My sincere thanks go to I-Tunes, Amazon.com. , CD Baby.com, Yahoomusic.com and thanks to you for all your support! See you soon!

J. Thompson's equipment

J Plays a 1997 Fender Stratocaster with “lace sensor” pickups, (stock). For amps, the primary is a 1968 Princeton reverb modified to 65 watts and with a celestian G12M70 speaker instead of the stock 10. Secondary amp is an old Silvertone 15 watt tube with a modified preamp, mixed with the Princeton creating a warm and sweet sustaining tone. An echo box with a little compression for live, dry for recording.
